Here's what we did today in fourth grade:
Math-We tackled the topic of scheduling! Given a schedule of events and certain time restrictions, we learned to create a schedule where no evens would overlap.
Word Study-Students took the grammar quiz today and will get it back tomorrow.
Reading-We continued making inferences in poetry and made inferences about how a boys feelings in a poem using information from the text.
Writing-Today was the last day of in class publishing! Tomorrow is our "Publishing Buffet" and we will get to share our wonderful pieces of writing!
**Tomorrow is Picture Day-Come dressed in your best! We do not have pictures until 1:35 in the afternoon.
**We also received Active Expressions today! These are cell phone looking devices which each child receives. They are great in class because the kids are able to "text" in their responses to questions and I will see a graph of the responses. This allows me to get an immediate look at who understands the concept we are working on and who needs some help. They also help to keep the kids engaged in the lesson!
Homework:
Math-WS 5.3, all problems
Reading-Keep up with your Reading minutes and remember to post on the blog.
Writing-Finish your published copy if it is not finished already! You don't want to miss the publishing buffet.
Science-The worksheet from yesterday is due tomorrow.
Have a good night and make sure to spend some time outside in the nice weather. Maybe you could read on the porch or in your backyard!

Nervous because When her brother came home alone she fainted.
From my life I know that people faint when they are nervous.

mrs.Davis I am reading camp confidential :Graces twist.My infrence was grace was up set with Gabe because she wanted to hange-out with Gabe and Gabe was being a total jerk to Grace. Grace did'nt want to hang-out with Gabe any more!
