I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Here's what we did today:
Math-We reviewed for the Chapter 3 test by practicing estimating and adding and subtracting.
Reading-We asked some questions about the book Animal Senses. We also talked with partners to see if our questions were answered in the text and what other questions we might have.
Word Study-We found examples of nouns and adjectives in our independent reading books and created a class list of good nouns and adjectives.
Writing-We continued revising our drafts and focused on areas with extra information or confusing information. We will finish revising and begin editing by the end of the week.
Social Studies-Chapter 1 tests were given back. We also went over a Time for Kids and discussed the Oil Spill.
Tonight's homework:
Math-Study for Chapter 3 test
Reading-Read 100 minutes this week! Students made a reading goal for the week which they listed in their planner. Also, I will meet with Archer's Quest and Little House tomorrow.
Writing-Don't forget to write 3 entries this week.
