January 7th

Here's what we did today:
Math-We learned how to divide mentally when there is a basic fact such as in 180/3=60.  Test is Tuesday.

Word Study-Groups 3 and 4 searched for words around the room while I met with Groups 1 and 2 to go over the words they found.  All groups had time to work on their contracts as well.

Reading-Students worked on a cold read to practice using RAP and to practice looking back in the text as well. 

Writing-We finished sharing our persuasive letters.  Students also did research in their biography books and wrote down some interesting facts.

Social Studies-We discussed how circle and line graphs can be used to show historical information and also learned more about Lewis and Clark's journey.

Homework:
Math-WS 13.6, all problems

Word Study-Groups 1/2--Test TUESDAY,  Groups 3/4--Test WEDNESDAY

Reading-Groups meet Monday.

Writing-Writer's Notebook
