January 18th

I hope everyone had a nice three day weekend!  Here's what we did today:

Math-We moved forward in long division by having 3 digit dividends.  There are no new rules to follow; just go through the DMSCB process again!

Word Study-We continued learning about subjects, predicates and subject-verb agreement.  There will be a quiz on this tomorrow.  The format will be just like the examples in the workbook.  Page 32 is a good page to study from.

Reading-We talked more about facts and opinions and learned some key words to look for when distinguishing between the two.

Writing-We continued researching and organizing our information.  By the end of Writing on Friday, all students should have organized each paragraph into Need to Know, Nice to Know and Interesting Facts and filled in their star paper. 

Homework:
Reading-Groups meet tomorrow.

Word Study-Study for quiz. 

Writing-Writer's Notebook and organize your research if you need to.
