Here's what we did today:
Math-We reviewed for the Chapter 13 test. It will be tomorrow or Wednesday if there is a Snow Day.
Word Study-Groups 1/2 did a buddy check and Groups 3/4 worked on their contract. If there is a Snow Day, Groups 1/2 will test Wednesday and Groups 3/4 will test Thursday.
Reading-Students met in their literature circles and also began January's Reading Tungsten.
Writing-We looked at some "bad" websites that are not reliable such as Wikipedia and a phony website about the endangered tree octopus. Students then found a good, reliable website on their famous person and printed out the information.
Social Studies-I gave a Chapter 4 study guide to the class and they had some time to work on it. Then we reviewed as a class for the test on Wednesday.
Homework:
Math-Study Chapter 13.
Word Study-Study your word lists for your test.
Reading-Groups meet Thursday.
Writing-Continue learning about your famous person.
Wednesday is Decade's Day! Dress as a person from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or 00s and donate money for tornado relief.
Have a good night and stay warm!
