November 15th

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Here's what we did today:
Math: We reviewed for the Chapter 9 test which is tomorrow.

Word Study-We reviewed personal and possessive pronouns.

Reading-Students took the November Reading Tungsten.

Writing-We shared some more personal narratives and will begin persuasive writing tomorrow.

Social Studies-We talked about the Adena, Hopewell, and Mississipppian groups.  An important concept in this chapter is understanding when each of these groups was around.  The Adena were around in 1000 B.C., the Hopewell in 200 B.C. and the Mississippian in 700 A.D.  It is important for students to understand that even though we are learning about these groups in the same chapter, they were not around at the same time.

Homework:
Math-Study for the Chapter 9 test.

Social Studies-Page 135, #1, 3, 4--Use RAP-Restate the Question, Answer the Question, Prove your Answer

READ and WRITE!

Tomorrow is paper products day for Adopt a Family.  We will be able to donate some paper towels and kleenex from our classroom supply, but any toilet paper, napkins or other paper products will be greatly appreciated by the family.  Thanks for your support!
