Here's what we were busy with today:
Math-We split up and rotated through different stations focusing on multiplication. We learned that a multiple is a number that is the product of any given number and all other numbers. For example, the multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, and so on. The students begin a packet of multiplication work, but it is not due until Friday and there will be more time in class to work on it.
Word Study-We took this time today to write letters to friends in the class that will be delivered at our field trip tomorrow.
Reading-We read a new book, In My Backyard. Ask your child to summarize the story for you tonight! We will be using this book to explore summaries this week.
Writing-We spent time today re-writing our revised drafts to prepare for editing.
Homework:
Math-Multiplication packet due on Friday.
Writing-Finish re-copying your draft so that we can edit tomorrow. Don't forget about your Writer's Notebook too!
Social Studies-Chapter 8 test is Thursday! Make sure to study all the economics vocabulary!
**Students need to bring a sack lunch to school tomorrow for our field trip to the Magic House!
Have a great night!
Dear Mrs.Davis
