Math-Today we learned about line plots. The important thing to remember is that the label on the plot refers to the numbers and the x's are usually people, teams, etc.
Word Study-We took the test today and the contract is due tomorrow.
Reading-We made some inferences in Amelias's Road and practiced using RAP (Restate, Answer, Prove) to explain our inferences.
Writing-Today we did a fun activity! We listened to a narrative about Sunday breakfast and then wrote our own about breakfast at each of our houses. Then each students gave their notebook to another student in the room and that student had to draw a picture of breakfast at their partner's house using the narrative. This really helped to stress the importance of being descriptive in writing. Without great description, your message will not get across clearly!
Homework:
Math-WS 6.3, all problems
Word Study-Contracts are due tomorrow. Students will have about 10 minutes to finish them in class if needed.
