  1. Hi, Mrs.Davis I am reading Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan . It is amazing . The detail that helps me understand the story is that Tio Luis is a devious man because their Esperanza's mom's house just randomly caught on fire but I know that Tio Luis set the house on fire because when Esperanza's father died Tio Luis asked Esperanza's mother to marry him,she said no. which made him angry .I love Esperanza Rising!
