Sorry for the late post! We got new technology in the classroom today, so things were a little crazy! We spent most of the day in room 109 while everything was getting installed and just got up to see everything at the end of the day.
Here's what we did in 109:
Math-We learned about circle graphs. The most important thing to remember is that your circle needs to be split up into equal parts, usually 10. If the pieces are not equal, the graph doesn't give a true representation of the data.
Word Study-Groups 1 and 2 did a buddy check to prepare for their test tomorrow while Groups 3 and 4 worked on their contracts.
Reading-We read a short biography of Amelia Earhart and began to pull out the main ideas.
Writing-We revised again for sensory details in our personal narratives.
Homework:
Math-WS 7.4, all problems--Also, students need to complete a line graph (a yellow sheet of paper was handed out for this) of their reading minutes each day this week. They know to choose an interval for the scale and to have all 5 parts of a graph. This is due on Friday.
Word Study-Goups 1-2, study for your test!
Reading-All groups will meet tomorrow and need to have read their assigned pages/chapters.
*Tomorrow is pajama day!
Dear most awesome teacher,
ReplyDeleteI just finished the book "School Spirit" by E.C.K. It is about a girl named Kat and she has the power to see dead people. She has a friend named Jac and she is cool. Don't want to spill the beans! Best Mark Twain book ever!
