October 15th

What a short day!  We did manage to get some work finished :)

Math-We had time to go over last night's homework on double bar graphs.

Reading-We got to hear from a published author James Otis Thach!  He shared part of his book, Seal Pup,  us and spoke to us about ways to help the environment.  Look for the book available for purchase on Amazon.com.  He was an amazing speaker!

We also worked on our Math Tungsten for a bit.

The only homework for the weekend is to read and write in your writer's notebooks.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week and each day will have a theme.  Monday's theme is "Turn Your Back on Drugs" and students may wear their clothes backwards!

Thank you to all parents who have volunteered for Pioneer Day and/or the Magic House field trip!  Unfortunately, we do not have room for everyone and I will just draw names from those who have volunteered.  I will contact those who are drawn shortly.  These kids are lucky to have such great parents so willing to help out!

Have a great weekend!
