Here's what we did today:
Math-We learned the partial products method of multiplication as a way to solve smaller problems in order to get the answer to a larger problem. We will be reviewing Chapter 11 tomorrow.
Word Study-Groups 1 and 2 took their test today while Groups 3 and 4 did a buddy check.
Reading-Reading groups met today. We also looked through some different expository texts and the kids are working on finding different text features in the book.
We also held another Spelling Bee to get another representative from our class and that is . . . Tate! We also held a Bee to get a 3rd winner in case Megan or Tate are not here during the 4th grade bee next Wednesday and that is . . . Hope!
Homework:
Math-WS 11.5, all problems
Reading-Finish the text features worksheet. Make sure the definition you write for each text feature is in a complete sentence. If your book does not have some of the features on the sheet, cross one out and substitute a text feature that is in your book.
Spelling-Groups 3/4, test tomorrow--Groups 1/2, contract due tomorrow
