Here's what we did today:
Math-We estimated 2 or 3 digit by 2 digit mulitplication. Here is an example: 146x23 would round to 100x20 and total 2000. The Chapter 11 test will be on Friday.
Reading-We took the Reading Tungsten today.
Word Study-Groups 1-2 did a buddy check and Groups 3-4 worked on their contract.
Writing-We spent a lot of time revising our letters today and focused on two things: transitions an playing "devil's advocate". We are really working hard on anticipating how our readers will respond to our persuasive arguments and trying to counteract them!
We also began the Math Tungsten today.
Homework:
Math-WS 11.4, all problems
Reading-Groups meet tomorrow.
Writing-Spend at least ten minutes revising. If you are having trouble revising a certain part, put a star by it to remind yourself to ask for help during your group or partner revision tomorrow.
