January 21st Homework
Math-WS 14.3
Writing-If you have not been able to find a book on your Famous Missourian at school, please make a trip to your local library to try to locate one. If you cannot find one there, please let me know asap. Also, continue to look on the internet for information. Remember to record it on your sheets and write down the name of the book or the internet site where you got the information.
Book Orders are due tomorrow! Also, tomorrow is Ability Awareness Day. We will be going in the morning and will follow a different schedule tomorrow.
Tomorrow is also a "game recess". The students have earned this small party and are allowed to bring in board games and/or electronic games (nonviolent). I have told them to get their parents' permission before bringing an electronic game to school!

Ability Day Volunteers Needed for Friday
Please read info. below if you may be able to help with Ability Awareness Day this coming Friday. Thank you!
Hi all!
Friday, January 22, will be Abilities Awareness Day at Truman. This event brings in a variety of speakers who will share their knowledge with 3rd and 4th graders. We are in need of some volunteers on this day to help with the 4th grade classrooms. Below is the job description of the "hostess" volunteer we are looking for as well as a break down of the timing and classes involved. If you are interested in volunteering, please respond to me, and I will get you signed up. Right now we still need 2 hostesses for the morning session and 1 for the afternoon.
Hostess
You will be asked to be a personal attendant to the speaker. You will assist them in anything needed: sitting with them in the classroom while the presentation is going on; helping pass out handouts, showing them to the bathroom, morning session hostess will walk with speaker to the lobby and get them settled in for lunch, afternoon session hostess will ask if the speakers needs any help transporting items to their cars, etc.
Times
We will need 3 hostesses in the morning from 8:30-11:30 to help with the following 4th grade classrooms: Mrs. Beckman, Mrs. Moehlmann, Mrs. Balzer, and Mrs. Bushmann.
We will also need 3 hostesses in the afternoon from 12:30-3:15 to help with the following 4th grade classrooms: Mrs. Valter, Mrs. Hake, and Mr. Kuhn
All volunteers are are invited to stay for lunch which will be served from 11:30-12:15.
If you wish to volunteer, please be specific in the grade level/time that you wish to be placed.
