December 15th Homework

Writing-Free Choice and persuasive letters are due at the end of class tomorrow. We are typing the letters in class so if you still need to type, your choice writing should be COMPLETELY finished!

Math-Chapter 12 test tomorrow--Know how to multiply big numbers! I have been seeing lots of silly mistakes in class so take your time!

December 14th Homework

Just one more week till Winter Break! We need to make sure to all stay focused this week because there is a lot of learning left to do before the break!

Reading-A book log was passed out today. I am collecting them on FRIDAY, but just need 75 minutes instead of 100.

Writing-Make sure your personal choice writing is revised, edited, and ready to be published. It is due Wednesday.

Math-WS 12. 4, circled problems and all MR, Chapter 12 test Wednesday, times quiz tomorrow

Science-test Thursday

Social Studies-Chapter 5 test Wednesday, Extra Credit packet due Wednesday (optional)

December 10th Homework

Writing-For your persuasive letter, write down your return address (home) and the address you are sending the letter to. Even if you are handing someone your letter, we will all practice addressing an envelope. Please bring a stamp by next Wednesday, if you are sending your letter through the mail.

Math-WS 12.1, #'s 1-19, odd only---You may use the traditional method or partial products, but please use the grid sheet I passed out.

Science-Test Thursday, December 17th

Social Studies-Test Wednesday, December 16th on Chapter 5

December 9th Homework

Spelling-Groups 3 and 4 contract due tomorrow

Math-Chapter 11 tests were given back. The original grade is in purple. The new grade, after students corrected the test, are in red. We went over the material today and I am confident that the students understand it. I have stressed how important it is to study for the Math tests. We will have one more test before break on 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. It will be next Wednesday or Thursday.

I hope to see everyone tonight at the show. Please send the students to the tile floor gym at 7:15. There will be wagons for the cookie donations outside of the gym and the performance will be in the wood floor gym at 7:30.

December 8th Homework

Spelling-Groups 1-2---Contract due tomorrow, Groups 3-4---test tomorrow

Math-We took the Chapter 11 test today. Some of the grades were not what I would have expected and I let everyone attempt each incorrect question again, after some explanation. I will take a look at these tonight and check for understanding. Then, we will review if needed. Please expect these tests to come home tomorrw with the student's first grade in purple, followed by their new grade in red.

Another times quiz will be given tomorrow.

Social Studies-Page 187, #1-6 due tomorrow.

Book orders are due tomorrow!

December 7th Homework

Reading-New book logs were given out today. They are due Monday, December 14th.

Writing-If you have not finished your persuasive letter DRAFT, you need to do so tonight. We will start revising tonight.

Math-Chapter 11 Test is tomorrow. Study hard!

Social Studies-page 187, #1-6. Make sure to use PQPA and look back in the book to check your answers.

Spelling-Groups 1-2, test tomorrow, contract Wednesday---Groups 3-4, test Wednesdsay, contract Thursday

Book orders are due Wednesday so that they will arrive in time for Christmas!

December 3rd Homework

Math-WS 11.3-odd numbers plus all of the Mixed Review-As we ran out of time today, the times quiz will be tomorrow.

We will be going to the Book Fair tomorrow so bring money if you want to buy something.

Tomorrow is Crazy Hair day for Adopt a Family. If you make your hair crazy, make sure to bring in $1. Tomorrow is also the last day for Adopt a Family. Please bring in any items you can! Thank you!

Math-Correct Math test and complete WS 11.2 using the distributive property. There will also be another times quiz tomorrow. Congratulations to those students who have passed all their times tables!

Don't forget to bring your strings instrument tomorrow if you are in strings!

December 1st Homework

Can you believe it's December already?! Less than 3 weeks till Winter Break and a lot to do, so let's all stay focused!

Math-Students will get the Chapter 10 test back tomorrow. Most are looking great, but a few students still need to practice their multiplication facts. Homework is to finish DynaMath, pages 6-7.

Make sure to continue to bring items in for Adopt a Family! It ends on Friday and the family could use some more items, gift cards, or cash donations.
