October 12th Homework

Reading-New book logs were given out today. This will be the first reading grade of 2nd quarter (since it starts on Monday) so let's make it a great start! If you did not bring in an article from a newspaper or magazine today, you can bring it in tomorrow for half credit.

Spelling-Groups 1&2 have a test Wednesday, contract due Thursday. Groups 3&4 have a test Thursday, contract due Friday.

Math-We will take another times quiz tomorrow. No other homework since there was a test today.

Social Studies-Chapter 2 test is Wednesday. A study guide was given out today. Please study!

October 8th homework

Writing-Make sure you writer's notebook is decorated for tomorrow. Make it your own!

Math-WS 6.5, Chapter 6 test will be tomorrow on every lesson from Chapter 6, except 6.4 (stem/leaf plots)

Book orders are due on Wednesday.

Also, notes went home yesterday with your conference time on it or a note asking when you could come for a conference. Please complete and send back asap.

One more thing-a slip went home yesterday for Pioneer Day on October 22nd. Please send $3 to school to cover the cost. Email or call me if that is a problem and we can find a way to make it work!

October 7th homework

Writing-Decorate your Writer's Notebook by Friday. You may glue pictures on it or anything that you choose so that you make it your own.

Math-WS 6.3-We will have another multiplication quiz tomorrow. Some of the students are on 3's and some are on 4's. They know which one they need to prepare for.

We have started sharing the students' first published writing pieces and they are fantastic! I can't wait to hear the rest. They will be out for reading when you come for conferences so make sure to take a look!

October 5th Homework

It is good to be back! I had a great trip, but I missed everyone and was so happy to hear that everything went so well with our fabulous substitute! Here's the homeowork for tonight:

Reading-Start your new book log tonight and make sure you complete your group assignment as well if you have not already.

Writing-Finish your final copy if you haven't already. We will start sharing these tomorrow.
